Foreign Exchange
The Credit Union has one of the busiest foreign exchange services in Lurgan. Members showing their passbook can buy foreign currency without paying a commission.
Available currencies
The Credit Union will always endeavour to provide the currency you require. However if this is not possible, we’ll suggest an alternative.

Ordering your currency
During the summer months (June – September) we require 1 week’s notice when ordering currency, including Euro and US Dollars.
Your rate
The rate you receive is calculated for your currency on the day you collect.
Transfering money to other countries
The Credit Union can transfer money to other countries and the service is FREE for members. To be able to complete an international transfer to another country, you will need the following information:
- The name and address of the person the money will be transferred to.
- The name and address of that person’s bank or building society
- The Swift Code, Sort Code and Account Number of the account to which the money will be sent. The IBAN number will also be helpful.
Foreign currency cheques
The Credit Union can not cash or receive foreign currency cheques. Your bank may be able to do this.
